What are you doing to get in the Christmas Spirit?

Are you wrapping gifts? Are you baking gingerbread men? Are you decorating your tree? There’s tons of stuff to get you in the Christmas spirit during December. If your imagination is terrible, like mine, here’s a few things to help you get through Christmas in a jolly way!

Decorate your house!

Yes, it really is that time of year again. It’s time to drag down the aged, grubby box that you dread every year. I know the inside is full of shimmering and dazzling decorations, but let’s face it, people do judge a book by its cover, so it’s not something you want to do. On the other, it’s done and dusted within an hour, so why not? It doesn't matter if you have a house full of kids, or are just on your own. Enjoy the trappings of the season in any way you can.

Do some Christmas baking!

Do you remember those cookies that your grandma used to make during the Christmas holidays? Get the recipe and make them yourself! Look up some holiday recipes and give them a go. Maybe invite some friends/family over to help, or even have a Christmas recipe swap! This is a great way to keep busy during the Christmas period and keep in touch with your loved ones.

Try getting your Christmas gift shopping done early!

It comes to Christmas Eve and you still have, what feels like, a million presents to wrap. You could’ve saved yourself the worry of not getting it finished if you had just wrapped them 6 weeks ago, like you were supposed to, rather than stuffing your face full of mince pies and Quality Streets! Without a doubt, we would all much prefer to watch 4 straight seasons on Netflix than wrap presents, but these things must be done. Besides, presents look great snoozing under the tree, no matter how bad your wrapping is.

Whether you love Christmas or tolerate it, don’t be a scrooge this year, make an effort, keep busy and you’ll soon realise it’s much more fun than sitting around and moaning! Let me know how your December is going so far. Get in touch by calling us on 01908 488575 or email us at adeakin@thisisnoa.com

I look forward to hearing from you!
