Running out of ideas for Valentine’s Day?

Re-enact your first date

Most people show their romantic side and make the most effort towards the beginning of the relationship – the honey moon stage. Why did that stop? Why not turn back the clock and remind her how charming you were when you were first dating? Show her/him you’ve still got it. Maybe go back to the first restaurant you ever ate at or watch the first film you guys saw together. It’s a great idea to reminisce things that sparked your romance.

Cook for your partner

Do you think you’re the worse cook in the world? Even more reason to cook on Valentine’s day! If your other half knows you can’t cook or bake, I guarantee they will notice you going the extra mile, even if you did overcook the pasta or burn the sauce, it’s the thought that counts – right?

Get away

If you are lucky enough to have a bit of extra cash and a free weekend, why not go away and turn Valentine’s Day into a Valentine’s Weekend? It doesn’t have to be anywhere fancy, maybe just a night or two in a Bed and Breakfast for a change of scenery. Alternatively, if you’re feeling spontaneous and adventurous, why not fly to Rome or Paris for two or three nights? No matter how big or small a trip is, it’s always wonderful to spend it with the one you love.

Don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day?

Have you and your partner decided not to celebrate this annual holiday? Whether you’ve been together 10 months or 10 years, you don’t have to do something just because everyone else is doing it. If you prefer staying in bed watching 3 seasons of Breaking Bad or Casualty – then so be it. Happy Valentine’s Day!
